Collecta for solo bookkeepers: monthly document chasing, done for you
Collecta takes the monthly chasing off a solo bookkeeper's plate. Each client gets a checklist; import their transactions and Collecta lists every missing statement and receipt, drafts the request, and after you approve it, reminds the client until everything is in. Solo costs $39 a month for 25 active clients.
What changes in your month
- The request writes itself: each client's period opens with the outstanding list ready for you to check.
- You approve once. The client gets one link for every item, no login.
- Reminders go on schedule (3, 7 and 14 days by default) and list only what's still missing.
- The dashboard shows which clients are complete, waiting or overdue, and how many days each took.

Security
Clients open a secure link with no login. Collecta stores only a hash of each link, keeps portal pages out of search engines, checks each file from its contents (up to 20 MB) and stores it privately. Only your signed-in team can download files.

Questions
Do I have to write the requests?
No. Collecta builds the list of missing items from your data and drafts the greeting and closing in your voice. You can edit anything, and nothing is sent until you approve it.
What if a client sends documents by email instead?
Upload them to the item yourself, or mark the item received. Either way it comes off the list and the reminders stop asking for it.
